Day 1: Arrival Kigali-Parc Volcanoes

You will be met at the Kigali International Airport by our safari driver-guide. Drive the three hours North of Kigali to Kinigi through Ruhengeri. Enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known, approximately driving for 3 hours. Dinner and overnight at Hotel La Palme/Virunga Hotel/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (H/B)

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking

After breakfast, you will depart for the headquarters of the Park where your driver-guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing and enter into the forest to begin your day’s activity. After the trekking, lunch and transfer to Kigali. On your way back to the lodge after trekking, a few stops will be made to admire the scenery. Rwanda is the country with over thousand hills! Dinner and overnight at Hotel La Palme/Virunga Hotel/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (F/B)

Day 3: Dian Fossey Trek

Early morning breakfast, trek to the renowned Dian Fossey Research centre and Grave Yard, where Dr. Fossey, a distinguished primatologist spent close to two decades bringing into the light, learning and safeguarding the endangered Rwanda Mountain Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at the Mountain Gorillas Nest Lodge or Kinigi Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board.

Day 4: Parc Volcanoes-Nyungwe Forest

Dawn breakfast, after depart to the Nyungwe Forest. This Forest has a diversity of surroundings including montane forest, bamboo, grasslands, swamps and bogs and is very mountainous as well. It gives some of the most excellent Golden Monkey trekking experiences over the canopy trekking trail in East Africa. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge/Gisakura Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking

Early morning breakfast, and then go for the morning Chimpanzee trekking experience in the jungle in search of colonies of habituated Golden Monkeys. Other animals in the forest include the grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, Angolan Columbus, L’Hoest monkeys and owl-faced monkeys. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge/Gisakura Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 6: Nyungwe -Visit Genocide Memorial

After your morning breakfast return to Kigali for an ample tour to the genocide memorial centre. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Des Mille Collines/ChezLando Hotel. Meal plan: Full-Board.
