Day 1

Arrival

Arrival and transfer to your Lodge for your overnight stay at Lake Heights. (B.B)

Day 2

Drive to Lake Mburo

Early morning pick up from your hotel and drive to Lake Mburo. You will stopover at the Equator for the water experiment and photos at Kayabwe. Then proceed to the park for lunch after that go for a boat ride. During the boat ride expect to see hippos, crocodiles and different bird species. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge. (B.L.D)

Day 3

Safari on foot - Bwindi

In the morning you will join the ranger on a walking safari in Lake Mburo. This safari gives you the opportunity to see animals at a close range. Expect to see zebras, topi, giraffes, and waterbucks. Then return to the lodge for breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Arrive in the evening and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight at Chameleon hill Lodge. Day 4

Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies

Gorilla trekking is the highlight of the day because you will have an encounter with the world’s most intelligent and largest primate. The silver-back which is the mature male adult settles conclusively about all activities in the whole troop like; planning about feeding trips, resting and their journeys from one place to another. Visits are controlled to lessen the chances of anxiety or disease transmission.

After breakfast, you will then drive to the park briefing area for trekking guidelines and allocation of groups according to the available families. Afterward, join the park armed ranger in search for the mountain gorillas. On finding them, you will spend an hour observing, taking photographs and video of these amazing giants. Return to the briefing area for lunch and later visit the Batwa pygmies in their homesteads to learn their way of life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Chameleon hill Lodge. (B.L.D)

Day 5

Drive to Queen

After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the land of mountain gorillas and drive to Queen Elizabeth. As you enter the park, you will begin to see some wildlife. Check in to your lodge and head out for an evening game drive. Expect to see elephants, lions, and buffalos. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. (BLD)

Day 6

Game and Boat ride

Take an early morning game drive to see the first risers like elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, go for a relaxing boat ride on the Kazinga channel. Expect to see hippos, buffaloes as well as different bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. (BLD)

Day 7

Full day Game drives- Ishasha

Depart early in the morning after breakfast to Ishasha sector exceptionally known for the tree climbing lions. Spot them as they hang on the huge branches of the fig trees during your game drives. Other wildlife to see are the big herds of buffalos, Elephants, Antelopes, and numerous hippos. Dinner and overnight  at Ishasha Wilderness Camp. (BLD).

Day 8

Transfer to Kibale Forest

Check out of your lodge after breakfast and drive to Kibale national park. Check-in for lunch and after go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary; which is a birder’s haven with about 138 species and eight species of primates. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge. (BLD)

Day 9

Chimpanzee tracking

After breakfast drive to Kanyanchu visitor center for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking. After that join, the park rangers to start tracking the habituated chimpanzees in the forest. You will take an hour observing, taking photos and videos of these apes. Check in to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge (BLD)

Day 10

Departure

8Check out of your lodge after breakfast and drive back to Kampala. Stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary to track rhinos. Drive to Kampala and go on a shopping spree at the craft market on Buganda Road. Later drive to the airport in time to catch your flight back home.
